The sole occupant of a truck has died after colliding with a power pole in Whangārei overnight.
The crash at the intersection of Riverside Dr and Ewing Rd was reported to police shortly before 1.30am today.
“The driver of the truck was the sole occupant,” a police spokesperson confirmed.
Inquiries were under way into the circumstances of the crash.
