A body has been found in the search for a 26-year-old Auckland woman who went missing on Friday afternoon.

A police boat could be seen launching around midday from a pier in Te Atatū, into Henderson Creek. Officers could earlier be seen unpacking equipment at the site.

Police this evening updated the search, saying the woman’s body was located this afternoon.

“Her death is not being treated as suspicious and will be referred to the coroner,” police said.

“Police extend our sympathies to the woman’s family and loved ones.”

The woman’s family said she was a “loving, kind, creative person”.
