A body was found in the rockpools of a Wellington beach yesterday, prompting an appeal for public help.
Police were alerted at around 10.40am yesterday when the body of a man was found in the rockpools at Breaker Bay on Wellington’s south coast.
“The death is being treated as unexplained, and inquiries are ongoing to identify the man and determine what occurred,” police said.
The man was described as Caucasian and aged approximately in his 60s. He was of average height and build, clean-shaven, and had short grey hair.
He was found wearing blue jeans, black socks, brown walking shoes, a black t-shirt under a black long-sleeve button-up shirt, and a grey Kathmandu jacket with green trim.
