The 73-year-old man who went missing in Masterton last week has been found deceased, police say.
John Rafferty, who was previously reported as being 74-years-old, went missing on May 4.
Police said his body was discovered by a Search and Rescue team this morning.
Sergeant Anthony Matheson said the death will be referred to the Coroner.
“This was not the outcome we were hoping for, but I want to thank the community for all their assistance, and the dedication of the search crews who have worked so hard over the past week.”
