Auckland’s Northwestern motorway on State Highway 16 has reopened following a crash forcing a closure earlier this afternoon.

Police thanked motorists for their patience while the road was closed.

Earlier, the crash blocked the Auckland city end of the Northwestern motorway on State Highway 16.

Police were notified of a single vehicle crash, which was carrying a trailer, at around 2.40pm.There were not believed to be any injuries.

“All traffic is being diverted along the Wellesley St exit,” a police statement said at the time.
