Actress Aubrey Plaza has called the death of her husband, indie director Jeff Baena, an “unimaginable tragedy”.
The Life After Beth director was found dead at a home in Los Angeles on Saturday. He was 47.
Plaza, 40, released a statement today on behalf of his grieving loved ones.
“This is an unimaginable tragedy. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has offered support,” she said.
“Please respect our privacy during this time.”
The I Heart Huckabees director’s cause of death was determined by the LA County Coroner’s Office to be suicide.
The Agatha All Along actress, who rose to fame starring as April Ludgate on TV series Parks and Recreation, frequently collaborated with Baena.
The pair began dating in 2011 before tying the knot in 2021.
