Two people have been injured after a crash involving a quad bike and a police vehicle on State Highway 2 near Paeroa this afternoon.
Emergency services responded to the two-vehicle crash around 3.20pm on Sunday.
“The two occupants on the quadbike are in moderate and serious conditions,” a police spokeperson said.
The road is closed at the scene while a scene examination takes place.
Cordons are in place on Puke Rd at Hubbard Rd and Brenan St. Traffic is being diverted through Paeroa.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
